Adeleke parts ways with the Wanderers

Western Sydney Wanderers have parted company with Seyi Adeleke, with the out-of-favour defender's contract terminated by mutual consent with immediate effect.

The Nigerian, who signed for the Wanderers in August 2014, has already departed the club in the wake of Friday's announcement.

He had been on the outer for some time and the club was criticised by Professional Footballers Australia for forcing him to train separately frm the first team in recent weeks, along with a group of other unwanted Wanderers players.

Snared from Lazio, the left-back made made just six appearances for the Wanderers in the A-League and FIFA Club World Cup but never won the full confidence of coach Tony Popovic.
