Euro 2004 winning Greece captain Theo Zagorakis has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with Serie A side Bologna, Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport has reported.
The 32-year-old midfielder - who was voted player of the tournament in Portugal - was released by debt-ridden Greek outfit AEK Athens and has joined Bologna on a Bosman free transfer.
"Zagorakis is our Greek Baggio," Bologna owner Giuseppe Gazzoni Frascara told the newspaper.
"President (Renato) Cipollini has been quick in closing the negotiation and the player told us that he will work hard to keep on playing until the next World Cup."
"We will work closely with him, as we did with Baggio when he was with Bologna and he managed to play in the 1998 World Cup."
