Martinez joins the Wanderers on loan from Greek giants Olympiacos, with the attacking midfielder set to wear jersey number 10 for his new club.

Martinez joins fellow South American Bruno Pinatares as one of the Wanderers' off-season additions, with coach Tony Popovic one of the main motivations behind Martinez joining the red and black.

“I spoke with the coach and after that my decision was clear,” Martinez said.

“I know that in 2014 they won the AFC Champions League and last season were only one point off first place. I come to a great team – one of the best in Australia."
The Argentine spent last season on loan from Olympiacos at Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta and had previous stints with fellow Greek club Panetolikos and with Spanish side Real Murcia in addition to spells in Chile and Argentina early in his career.
