Bringing some of the world’s best sport to Australians for free continues to be at the heart of what we do at SBS Sport, and we are updating our website offering by consolidating our current sites into a single online destination showcasing all our sports coverage.

From Monday 9 August 2021, the  will be the home of all our football coverage, and The World Game website and app will no longer exist.

What will this mean for you?

From August 9, if you try to visit , you will automatically be redirected to the SBS Sport website () where you can access our coverage of key events and competitions across a range of sports, including football.

SBS will always have football in our hearts as the pioneer of the game in Australia. We are proud to have played a key role in bringing football to Australians for many years, helping build football to be the game loved by so many Australians today.

While The World Game website and app will no longer exist, we are proud to be the exclusive Australian rights holder to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will continue broadcasting a number of international football events.
