Turkish football reportedly hand ex-Wanderers striker Bulut four-year ban

Former Western Sydney Wanderers striker Kerem Bulut has reportedly received a four-year ban from Turkish football due to cocaine use.

Despite the Turkish Football Federation's best attempts to withhold the culprit's identity, Goal.com revealed local reporters had found fault with Bulut based on the information at hand.

Bulut had stints across three Turkish clubs, totalling 12 Super League appearances, the 26-year-old appears to have played his last game in the country.

The controversial striker spent last season in the Turkish third division, with Menemen Belediyespor, and has since remained a free agent.

Bulut's drug bust is the latest blight on his career, which has included two separate incidents with the police in 2010 and 2015.

The former Australian Under-23 international also failed to find his feet on home soil and - after a fruitful first spell with the Wanderers in 2015 - was soon released by then-manager Tony Popovic in 2016.
