Socceroos coach Graham Arnold has hinted winger Awer Mabil could be set for his first start in the green and gold in Tuesday's night's international against Lebanon.
The South Sudanese refugee was a spark for the Socceroos off the bench against Korea Republic on Saturday night.
And now, Mabil could feature from the opening whistle after the withdrawal of mainstays Tom Rogic and Robbie Kruse due to minor injuries.
"Tell your mum to come," Arnold told Mabil, despite the 23-year-old saying he didn't mind coming off the bench.
Mabil insists he would be ready to start for the Socceroos if he receives the call from Arnold.
"It's up to the coach. I'm ready to represent the country however I'm needed, off the bench or starting, it doesn't matter for me," Mabil said.
"I just want to do my job when I come on."
