The former Perth Glory coach has been named Arnold's assistant coach alongside Rene Meulensteen for the matches against Korea Republic and Lebanon.
Lowe was sacked as Glory coach at the end of last season after more than 140 games in charge of the Perth club.
The 56-year-old's addition to Arnold's coaching team is one of three changes made as part of a reshuffle ahead of the Asian Cup.
The addition of Lowe has come after ex-assistant Ante Milicic was moved into the role of Socceroos chief scout, while goalkeeping coach Tony Franken has been replaced by former PSV and Tottenham shot stopper Hans Segers.
Franken, a long time member of the Socceroos coaching set-up, will take up a role working with Australia's youth national teams with Segers to work with Arnold's squad until the end of the Asian Cup.
“We are pleased to have added the knowledge and expertise of Kenny Lowe and Hans Segers to our coaching staff," FFA National Teams boss Luke Casserly said.
"Kenny and Hans both bring a wealth of experience to the Socceroos and we are sure that they will make great contributions to the team.”
The Socceroos arrived in Brisbane overnight to begin their preparations for Saturday's clash against Korea Republic at Suncorp Stadium.
The match will be a major part of Australia's warm up for the tournament in the UAE with the clash against their Asian Cup final opponents from 2015 a great litmus test for Arnold's side.
Australia will also take on Lebanon on November 20 at Sydney's ANZ Stadium in a match which will double as a testimonial match for Socceroos great Tim Cahill.
Cahill, who called time on his international career after the 2018 FIFA World Cup, will make a final swansong in national team colours during the match and is expected to join the Socceroos squad later this week.
