Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has given head coach Joachim Low a major boost by revealing he has shaken off a calf complaint.

Schweinsteiger was a worry for EURO 2012 after struggling with the injury but returned to full training on Monday with the rest of the national side.

And the 27-year-old has suffered no reaction, telling "I'm fine. It's fun to play with such a team."

Schweinsteiger, looking to add to his 90 caps for Germany, missed the opening warm-up defeat against Switzerland two weeks ago due to the injury after linking up with the squad after Bayern Munich's UEFA Champions League defeat against Chelsea.

Germany arrived in Poland ahead of EURO 2012 on Monday and will remain in the country despite all three group matches being held in Ukraine.

The EURO 2008 runner-up starts its campaign against Portugal on 9 June, with further games against Netherlands and Denmark.
