Australia goalkeeper Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet as Club Brugge maintained its four-point cushion at the Jupiler Pro League summit on Boxing Day with a 6-0 victory at 10-man Lierse while James Troisi played a full game in Zulte-Waregem's home defeat to Charleroi.
Eric Matoukou put through his own net twice in the opening 26 minutes to put the leader in the driving seat and Lior Rafaelov added a third from the penalty spot after an incident which saw Ramy Bensebaini sent off for the bottom-of-the-table host.
There was still time before the break for two more goals - scored by Jose Izquierdo and Tom De Sutter - and Rafaelov sealed the rout with the sole strike of the second half in the 72nd minute.
Anderlecht remained hot on the heels of the pace-setter with a 4-0 home triumph over Westerlo courtesy of goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ibrahima Conte, Dennis Praet and Maxime Colin.
Westerlo's misery was compounded by the 88th-minute dismissal of Bruno Godeau.
Charleroi stayed six points adrift of Anderlecht with a 3-1 win at Zulte-Waregem.
Karel Geraerts and Cedric Faure netted either side of half-time to put the visitor in the ascendancy and, although Mohamed Messoudi halved the deficit from the penalty spot midway through the second period, Neeskens Kebano made sure of the points with a third goal two minutes from the end.
KV Kortrijk lost ground in the title race, going down 3-2 at home to Gent.
Lasse Nielsen's early strike was cancelled out by Stijn De Smet's penalty, but second-half goals from Benito Raman and Laurent Depoitre restored Gent's advantage before Thomas Matton's last-minute consolation.
