Roma fear 'Drake curse', jokingly ban player pictures with rapper

Roma have issued a jokingly superstitious tweet banning their players from taking pictures with Canadian rapper Drake.

The Italian capital club issued a tweet on Tuesday announcing all their players are banned from taking pictures with the musician, fearing the infamous 'Drake curse'.
The so-called curse happens to professional sportsmen and women who have pictures with the rapper and then supposedly they and/or their team suffer losses in important games or loss of form shortly afterwards.

Recent examples in football include Sergio Aguero before Manchester City lost to Tottenham 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League, Jadon Sancho before Borussia Dortmund were thrashed by Bayern Munich 5-0 in the Bundesliga, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before Arsenal lost to Everton 1-0 in the Premier League.
Roma are already out of the Serie A title race and knocked out of the Champions League but are vying for a top four spot in Italy's top flight to secure a place in next season's Champions League.

Other professional athletes and teams to fall victim to the 'Drake curse' over recent years include UFC's Conor McGregor, Tennis great Serena Williams, and both Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat in the NBA.
