It was another frustrating match for Socceroos midfield maestro Rogic who was forced to watch his Hoops team-mates steal a nail biting win at Celtic Park as Moussa Dembele scored a 92nd minute winner from the penalty spot.
Rogic has struggled to feature in the Scottish giants' Champions League qualifying campaign with only cameo performances in their matches against Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps and only 13 minutes in the first leg of his side's tie against Kazakhstan's Astana.

With the two sides locked at 1-1 after the first leg, The Brendan Rogers coached Celtic side were fast out of the blocks

However, it took until the 45th minute for the first goal of the game with Leigh Griffiths converting from the penalty spot for Celtic after Kieran Tierney was taken down in the box.

Kolo Toure made his Celtic debut after being introduced in the 62nd minute, but the Ivory Coast defender could not stop Astana from levelling the scores when Agim Ibraimi struck from 40 yards out after an error from Celtic shot stopper Craig Gordon.

The match looked headed for extra time until Dembele was hacked down in the box in the final moments of the match.  Dembele hammered home from the spot to ensure Celtic progressed to the next round.

Elsewhere, there were surprise casualties in the third round of qualifying, including Olympiacos, who were knocked out by Hapoel Be'er-Sheva 1-0 on aggregate while Falcao netted again as Monaco won 3-1 at home to eliminate Fenerbahce 4-3 over two legs.

Anderlecht also crashed out, beaten by 2-0 at home by FC Rostov to fall 4-2 on aggregate while Shakhtar Donetsk fell to Swiss outfit Young Boys.
