PSV Eindhoven have signed goalkeeper Cassio Ramos from Gremio for a fee in the region of 1.5 million euros (STG2.3million).
The Dutch champions beat off competition from Benfica for the 20-year-old Brazilian, who will slot in behind Gomes and Bas Roorda in the pecking order.
"Cassio is tall and very athletic. He is good with high balls, but he is also rapid on the ground," purred PSV scout Piet de Visser.
"His kick is beautiful, his throw is even more beautiful. It's not for nothing that [coach] Dunga selected him for the national team of Brazil."
"Last year he was one of the stars in Brazil's U20 team during the South American championship in Paraguay. During the U20 World Cup in Canada, Brazil played bad, but he reached his normal level."
