Hector Moreno's first-half double set PSV Eindhoven on their way to a 4-2 home win against FC Twente and helped lift them back to within three points of Eredivisie leaders Ajax.

The Mexico defender, also on target in last week's 2-0 win at Feyenoord, struck twice in three minutes midway through the opening period after Jari Oosterwijk had given Twente a ninth-minute lead.

Luciano Narsingh added a third for PSV before the break and although Chinedu Ede reduced the deficit for the visitors in the 70th minute, Florian Jozefzoon restored the home side's two-goal advantage 10 minutes later.

PSV, unbeaten in the Eredivisie since a 2-1 defeat at Heracles in mid-September, extended their league run without defeat to 13 matches.

Feyenoord lost further ground on the top two as their recent slump continued with a third straight defeat as they went down 4-2 at AZ.

AZ striker Vincent Janssen was Feyenoord's tormentor-in-chief with a hat-trick, scoring in the 27th, 54th and 56th minutes to take his tally to 14 for the season after Markus Henriksen (24) had cancelled out Michiel Kramer's early opener for Feyenoord.

Tonny Vilhena pulled one back in the 73rd minute for Feyenoord, who remain third in the table despite having taken only one point from their last four matches, but AZ cruised to back-to-back victories after last week's 1-0 success at Roda JC had halted a six-game run without a win.

FC Utrecht maintained their momentum and climbed up two places to fifth as substitute Ruud Boymans scored another late goal, this time in the 88th minute to clinch his side a 1-0 home win against PEC Zwolle.

Boymans, who stepped off the bench to score in the recent 2-2 draw at AZ, has hit the target in his only two appearances this season as Utrecht extended their unbeaten run to six matches, dropping just two points in the process.

Mike Havenaar struck two quickfire second-half goals - his 13th and 14th of the season - to seal ADO Den Haag a 2-1 home win against lowly Cambuur Leeuwarden.

Striker Havenaar cancelled out Sander van de Streek's 15th-minute opener for Cambuur nine minutes after the interval and pounced again three minutes later as Den Haag registered a third win in their last five league matches.
