Ligue 1 club Nice have signed Denmark forward Kasper Dolberg from Dutch giants Ajax for 20.5 million euros ($A34 million).
The French club said the 21-year-old Dolberg - who was under contract at Ajax for three more seasons - "embodies both the future and the present."
Dolberg missed Ajax's UEFA Champions League play-off win on Thursday (AEST) to pass his medical in Nice.
Nice, coached by France great Patrick Vieira, missed out on European football by placing seventh in the French top flight last season.
Ratcliffe's chemical company Ineos completed a takeover of Nice this week.
Ineos also own the cycling team of Tour de France champion Egan Bernal and has tried to buy English giants Chelsea.
