TWG: If you were running the A-League for a day, what would you do first?
BK: I'd probably try to bring more teams in and make it a bigger competition, or at least introduce a second tier. I'd like a bigger competition because it would mean more variety, more teams would make it a bit more interesting. I like the idea of promotion and relegation as well.
TWG: What's the funniest thing you've seen happen on a football field?
BK: When I was playing in the juniors, one of my mates went to clear a ball and it bobbled just a little bit and went off the side of his boot and into the back of the net. We didn't give it to him about it - he was embarrassed enough as it was.
TWG: Can you understand Guillermo Amor, with his thick Spanish accent? Do you know everything he's saying?
BK: It started off a bit hard, but now I can understand him pretty well and I've picked up a few Spanish words as well. He does tend to talk fast. Our assistant coach Pau (Marti) translates sometimes, if the coach can't find the right words in English, but most of the time we get the message.
TWG: Were you overawed, at least to start with, playing under a Barcelona great like him?
BK: Not so much overawed, but you respect him so much and you take on-board everything he says because he has done what you want to do at the highest level. He was one of the game's great players in his time.
TWG: Amor arrived at the club, originally as technical director, at about the same time as you, ahead of the 2014-15 season. Did you jump on Youtube to have a look back at him?
BK: Yeah, there was definitely a Youtube research session to see him in action and catch up on all of his accolades. Playing for Barcelona and Spain, it was very impressive to watch.
TWG: How much work do you put into that hairstyle of yours?
BK: Not much at all, it's just natural. I just let it go where it wants to go, yeah.
TWG: You've got some pretty impressive dreadlocks there.
BK: Yeah, if I don't comb my hair it just naturally locks itself.
TWG: Sometimes your hair just stands straight up. You must be using some "product ", aren't you?
BK: No, there's no product in there at all, it's 100 per cent natural. It just does what it wants.
TWG: Grand final week. Are you feeling pressure or having fun?
BK: There's no pressure, I think the boys are confident and I'm confident that we can go out there and get the job done, do what we need to get the win. We're relaxed and enjoying the week. It's a rare opportunity that some players never get, so we're just taking it in.
TWG: A-League players are so lean and fit. Do you ever break out and eat a lot of rubbish?
BK: Not really. It's about balance and doing things in moderation. The boys are pretty good with their diets in-season. Off-season, there's always the chance to enjoy your food a bit more.
TWG: If there is a favourite thing you want to eat and a good time to do it, what would it be?
BK: I'd probably say pizza, that's something I enjoy. Probably just a meat-lovers or BBQ chicken.
TWG: When is the Adelaide club awards night and if you had your choice of anyone in the world to take, who would it be?
BK: It's on next Wednesday. Who would I take, world-wide? That's a good question. I'd say Beyonce.
TWG: What about Jay Z? He might have something to say about that! Since we're now talking about music stars, what was the last song you bought on iTunes, or a CD?
BK: Low Life, by Future and The Weekend.
TWG: What was the last movie you watched?
BK: Training Day, with Denzel Washington. I watched it on Netflix the other day. It's good. I'd seen it before and thought I'd have another look, since I had a bit of time to spare.
TWG: What is your dream holiday destination, if time and money weren't an issue?
BK: Probably Europe in the summer. I'd visit countries like Greece, Spain and Croatia.
TWG: If you weren't playing football, what do you think you would be doing for a living?
BK: I'd love to be a musician. I'd give that a crack, yeah. But not so much playing an instrument - I could see myself as a rap and R&B singer.
TWG: What's the voice like?
BK: Ahh, not too good, actually.
TWG: At least you're honest, but you can always get singing lessons. Do experienced defenders say things to try to get into the heads of young attackers and put them off their game?
BK: You get some defenders who are more talkative than others, but I find that if you don't get involved in any of that they end up not saying too much. I think if you don't react there's really not much more they can say.
TWG: What about physically? Do the older defenders try to intimidate you with rugged contact?
BK: I haven't found that so much in the A-League, although I'm sure there are some players like that. When I was playing in the local league that was more of a factor.
TWG: You were born in Kenya and came here with your family when you were four. Are the family all living in Adelaide?
BK: Yeah, my mum and dad, my older brother, and I've got a sister who was born here. I'm still living at home as well. I love still being at home, with the family. No plans to move out in the immediate future.
TWG: You turned 21 last month. Did you have a party?
BK: No, it was a very low-key birthday. I'm not one to celebrate too much. I went out for dinner with the family and a few close friends and it was very enjoyable.
TWG: Will all the family be at Adelaide Oval for the grand final on Sunday?
BK: Definitely, they'll all be there in the stands. Everyone's really looking forward to it.
TWG: Finally, any plans for the off-season? Any trips or other special activities?
BK: I might go to Bali. A few of the boys in the team are going there, so I might jump on that trip. Hopefully, we'll have something to celebrate. I've never been to Bali, but I've heard plenty of good reports and it would be great to go there with some teammates.
