Moscow duo close in on summit

Moscow rivals Spartak and Lokomotiv closed the gap on the Premier League summit, though the latter's draw at 10-man Zenit St Petersburg was not enough to move top.

Domenico Criscito put Zenit ahead in the 14th minute but Dame N'Doye made it 1-1 in the 25th.

The host had Aleksandr Aniukov sent off three minutes after half-time but there was no further score, leaving Lokomotiv one point behind table-topping CSKA Moscow with 20 while Zenit has 18.

Spartak moved to 19, and fourth place, with a 3-1 win away to Amkar Perm, which also finished with 10 men.

Pavel Ignatovich gave Amkar a 22nd-minute lead but Kim Kallstrom equalised 11 minutes later.

Amkar had goalkeeper Sergei Narubin dismissed in the 49th minute and Ari and substitute Artem Dzjuba earned the three points for Spartak.

Kuban Krasnodar was a 2-1 winner against Terek Grozny, its fifth success in 10 games.

Aleksei Ionov's opener was quickly cancelled out by Martin Jiranek but substitute Aras Ozbiliz, who had replaced Ionov, scored an 83rd-minute winner.
