Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE commentary of Tottenham v Crystal Palace here at White Hart Lane. Both sides are looking to secure their first victory of the new campaign. The hosts drew 1-1 with Everton last weekend, whilst Palace suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to West Brom.
    • 1'

    • 2'
Palace with the first chance of the game, Puncheon strikes at goal but Vorm saves. That was a good early chance for Palace.
    • 3'
Spurs didn't start very well last time out against Everton, conceding early on and they will be keen to get off to a better start today against a strong Palace side.
    • 4'
Harry Kane looked very isolated against Everton, not getting on the ball as much as he would have wanted, but with Janssen partnering him today we could see a big difference.
    • 7'
Both sides are battling hard in midfield, Palace have started well and aren't allowing Spurs much time and space to pass the football around.
    • 8'
Zaha takes on Danny rose down the left-hand side but the left-back is able to deal with the danger and Tottenham clear their lines. Zaha v Rose could be a key battle today as both players love to attack down the wings.
    • 10'
Spurs are in control now, moving the ball around nicely in their build-up from the back-four into midfield. Palace hold their shape and forcing the opposition back.
    • 12'
Big chance for Spurs! Alderweireld gets a free header from a corner but it's aimed straight at Hennessey and then cleared by the Palace defence. Either side of the keeper and that would have been 1-0 to Tottenham.
    • 15'
Tottenham are enjoying all of the possession at the moment but other than Alderweireld's chance a few minutes ago, they haven't created any more clear-cut chances or opened Palace up.
    • 16'
Janssen finds himself in a bit of space just outside the Palace box but his long-range shot goes high and wide of Hennessey's net.
    • 17'
Corner to Palace after a couple of free-kick's got them into the Spurs half... The corner is poor but Joel Ward can put the ball back into the box and wins another corner.
    • 18'
Tottenham clear the corner easily and go on the counter-attack, Eriksen runs the length of the field with plenty of support either side. Palace were outnumbered and Kane was free breaking into the box on the left-hand side, but Eriksen's pass was a poor one, cut out and cleared. Chance goes amiss.
    • 20'
Another free header for a Spurs player in the Palace box from a corner, this time it is Wanyama. His diving header goes narrowly over the bar. Hennessey was worried there.
    • 22'
Free-kick to Spurs in a dangerous position, well in shooting range for the likes of Eriksen, Lamela or Kane.

    • 24'

    • 26'
Zaha goes into the book for a rough and late challenge on Alderwiereld.
    • 27'
Huge chance for Tottenham! Hennessey pulls off two great saves. Kane first goes close with a long-range shot which is saved and then Janssen is there with the rebound but the Palace keeper is there ready to deny Spurs as he smothers his shot and it's out for a corner.
    • 30'
Spurs dominating this game, winning corner after corner at the moment and not allowing Palace any time to break away.
    • 31'
Scott Dann looks like he has a problem. The Palace captain was on the end of a challenge from Janssen and is receiving medical treatment.
    • 33'
Palace finally enjoying possession of the ball in the Spurs half... But it doesn't last very long and Spurs are back with the ball.
    • 35'
Connor Wickham has barely touched the ball in this first half, he is going to need much better service or a strike partner if he is going to be the man to hit the back of the net for Palace today.
    • 38'
Rose with a good chance! He finds his way into the Palace box and is fires a shot at Hennessey but he smacks it against a defender for another Tottenham corner. Cross comes in, but Alderweireld takes a loose shot wide.

    • 51'
Palace are fighting hard to win possession in the middle of the park, putting pressure on Dier and Wanyama and being successful.
    • 53'
Kyle Walker has had the better of former teammate Andros Townsend so far today. The Palace winger has struggled to make an impact out wide and has to be careful of the Spurs defenders attacking threat as well.
    • 54'
Cabaye has a shot at goal but he skies it high and wide of Vorm's goal, but it was good build up play by Palace.

This is much better from Palace. Townsend gets himself into space on the right-hand side, cuts back with a touch, and finds Cabaye who shoots narrowly over! Palace are getting into this game!
    • 65'
Mauricio Pochettino may need to make a substitution here because Palace are starting to play much better and are threatening to score themselves. Tottenham appear to be running out of ideas going forward.
    • 66'
Scott Dann receives a yellow card after tussling with Janssen and committing a blatant foul.
