Into the only minute of added time as some late Arsenal pressure forces a corner. The delivery sees Heaton come out for the punch and miss, but his defence cleans up the mess. However, the Gunners have the ball back into the area with a few players lining up for the shot, but no one takes the initia

WALCOTT FAILS TO WRAP IT UP! Some real late drama here as a Burnley free-kick breaks down, sparking the Gunners on the break! Walcott is put completely in the clear but a magnificent challenge from Heaton prevents what looked like a sure-fire third. There's even time for Gray to find space on the ri
    • 90'
LATE GUNNERS CHANCE! Arteta releases Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right. He looks to have overrun it, but finds the right pass to Walcott on the overlap. The cross comes in, and it's headed away, but into the path of Elneny at the edge of the D. He cracks it on the half-volley but it sails wide!

Arsenal are just trying to kill this game off. Burnley are throwing whatever they have left at the Gunners, but are unable to snare possession for more than a pass or two. Time has almost run out.

So that will do it from the Emirates, as Arsenal get the better of Burnley in an entertaining fourth-round clash. Well-executed goals from Chambers and Alexis came either side of a lovely Vokes header to send the Gunners through to the fifth round. The Clarets simply could not sustain their enterpri

So that will do it for now from the Emirates, as Arsenal and Burnley go into the break locked at 1-1. Chambers scored his second-ever goal for the Gunners with a peach of a finish, but the Clarets deservedly got themselves level thanks to a fine header from Vokes. Both teams have created chances, an

Sean Dyche makes two changes from his side's 4-1 win over Derby last time out. Emirates favourite Joey Barton misses out on his chance of a hero's reception as he's replaced by Fredrik Ulvestad, while Matthew Lowton also heads to the bench, with Tendayi Darikwa taking his place. It's a 4-4-2 from th

These two sides last squared off in the 2014-15 season, when Burnley were still in the Premier League. Arsenal did the double over the Clarets, with a 3-0 win at the Emirates last April following a 1-0 triumph at Turf Moor in November 2014. Burnley's last win over Arsene Wenger's men in any capacity

Burnley have won five of their last six games, and like Arsenal, sit third in their league, the Championship, four points off the automatic promotion spots. Four straight third-round exits in the cup were ended earlier in the month when they dispatched Middlesbrough 2-1. They certainly know where th

Arsenal haven't won in their last three games, a run of form that has seen them lose their grip on leadership of the Premier League, slipping to third, three points off Leicester. However, they did dump Sunderland out of the FA Cup in the previous round courtesy of a 3-1 win at this ground earlier i

Hello and welcome to our live commentary of the FA Cup clash between Arsenal and Burnley at the Emirates Stadium. The hosts have won 13 straight in the cup en route to two consecutive titles, and face a side 20 places below them in the English football pyramid. Stick with us for all the action.
    • 1'
      Off we go!
    • 3'
For some reason, Burnley made Arsenal switch sides before the match kicked off, and they get the first glimpse on goal in this game, as Vokes plays in Gray with a great touch, but the latter can't find the target!
    • 5'
Oxlade-Chamberlain can't trouble Heaton with an effort from the edge of the area, and it's Burnley who are back down at the other end causing problems again. Gabriel loses his footing at the worst possible moment, letting in Gray, but the defender recovers to just about clean up his mess. Not a conf
    • 7'
Arsenal are becoming a little more poised here, and Alexis tries to take the game by the scruff of the neck, getting the ball on his favoured position on the left flank. He cuts inside Jones, who knew what was coming but couldn't do a thing to stop it with a sliding challenge. The Chilean lets fly,
    • 9'
Elneny tries to get the home fans even more on his side with a drive from well out, but it's right down the throat of Heaton. As the match has gone on, we've seen the Gunners establish a little more rhythm in midfield, but the Clarets are holding firm in defence, not allowing many openings around th
    • 11'
ANOTHER BURNLEY OPENING! Gray out-muscles and out-hustles Koscielny to a long ball out from the back and bears down on goal, with Gabriel belting across to cover, but with Vokes in support, unmarked, at the back post. He decides to take it all on his own, but Ospina is off his line to make his body
    • 13'
Arsenal's defence is shaking at its foundations here as Gray is once again first to the ball in the final third, but he is eventually crowded out of a shot, before the flag is raised. Still, the play of the Championship leading scorer has been exemplary in the opening exchanges, and he looks to have
    • 15'
Gibbs does well to scamper past his man down the left and make his way to the byline, and his low cross into the box finds Alexis, but Boyd hurls his body in the way just in time to see the ball flash back to Heaton. The clearance falls only to Chambers at the top of the box, but the right-back's dr
    • 17'
Arsenal have set up camp around the Burnley box as they plot a route through to goal. For now though, the visiting side are keeping all 10 outfield players back in position to prevent the Gunners from finding the avenue for that killer ball.

      G C. Chambers Assist A. Sánchez
    • 19'
Great play from Alexis, who stayed patient after getting a pass from Iwobi, and slipped in Chambers just as the defence collapsed around him.
    • 19'
WHAT A GOAL! Arsenal lead! There seemed to be no more space at the edge of the area when Alexis took control of the ball, but the hosts manage to find the right pass to the overlapping Chambers, who unleashes a delightful finish with the outside of his boot from the right side of the box!
    • 21'
The last time that Chambers scored for Arsenal came back in in November 2014 - against Burnley. The Clarets started this match on fire, but simply have not been able to get a taste of the ball for about 10 minutes now.
    • 23'
With Ozil not starting this afternoon, the creative burden has fallen on Alexis, and Arsenal are looking for him with every pass. The Chilean hasn't shrunk from the responsibility, and he slips Giroud in with a pass down the outside of Keane. However, the French striker doesn't get his head up to se
    • 25'
Burnley are being suffocated at the moment as Arsenal probe with their passes, with the home side trying to overload them centrally, before slipping a pass out to the extra man on the flanks. It worked for the first goal, so why fix what ain't broken?
    • 27'
CRUCIAL INTERCEPTION BY KEANE! Coquelin makes a commanding tackle in the Burnley half, winning possession and playing the ball immediately to Giroud. The forward nearly finds the pass to Alexis that would have put him clear through on Heaton, but the Clarets centre-back steps in to make a key defens
    • 29'
Keane steps in with another massive contribution at the near post as he blocks a cross from coming in, with bodies teeing up inside the area. This is one-way traffic at the moment, with the visitors struggling to get out of their own defensive third.

    • 30'
That was a world-class cross from the Burnley right-back, who played it right onto the head of his striker.
    • 30'
BURNLEY ARE LEVEL! Arsenal fail to deal with a series of crosses into the area and the visitors stay in possession. Darikwa has time and space on the right, and flights in a fantastic delivery for Vokes to nod in a great header at the back post!
    • 32'
The Gunners concede a goal again from a cross, and they're suddenly looking vulnerable as Burnley swarm all over them! Ospina is nearly caught out by the hustle of the excellent Gray, but he's not punished. What a game we have on our hands!
    • 34'
Burnley get their wires crossed in defence as Iwobi dribbles centrally, before darting out to the right flank. Oxlade-Chamberlain is left with space to sneak in at the far post, and he's found by the man on the ball, but his first-time finish is terrible, failing to trouble Heaton.
    • 36'
The tempo of the match has settled down in the last few minutes as Burnley try to establish some sort of rhythm in possession. The direct approach has worked a treat for them, so I'm not sure why they want to play their way through Arsenal, especially with Koscielny and Gabriel looking ripe for expl
    • 38'
Vokes is winning virtually everything in the air, with Gabriel unable to deal with him. The Brazilian was beaten by the Burnley No. 9 for the opening goal, and Wenger needs to keep an eye on that matchup, which is a direct weak link for his team at the moment.
    • 40'
I would have to give Burnley the edge in this game based on what has transpired. The scores may be level, but the Clarets have just about caused more panic with their attacks than the Gunners have managed with theirs. Arsenal are going to have to dig deep if they want a place in the fifth round.
    • 42'
Elneny lays the ball off to Oxlade-Chamberlain at the top of the box, and the former Southampton man rolls the ball forward with the sole of his boot, before letting fly with something that's neither a cross nor a shot, but still forces Heaton to make a diving catch. That's a little better from Arse
    • 44'
Whenever Alexis gets the ball, he's swarmed by at least three Burnley players. On Arsenal's latest foray forward, his first pass is blocked, but he's soon back on the ball, trying to squeeze in Oxlade-Chamberlain at the far post with a clipped delivery, but it's headed away by the defence.
    • 46'
      Off we go again.
    • 48'
No changes at the break from either manager, as they both seemingly bide their time to see how the second-half sets up. Arsenal have named a fairly strong bench with the likes of Theo Walcott and Joel Campbell available if this game stays deadlocked for long.
    • 50'
Half-chance for Scott Arfield, but the Burnley winger can't make it count. Can the Clarets sustain the direct, counter-attacking intensity that served them so well throughout the first-half?
    • 52'
Arsenal are starting to tighten their grip on this game with some lovely passing sequences developing in midfield. However, they need to watch that defensive line, with Vokes and Gray staying near the halfway line to pounce on any out-balls.

Great run and pass from Oxlade-Chamberlain, but really, four players deserve credit for their part in that goal.

MAGNIFICENT TEAM GOAL! Alexis starts the move with a driving run down the centre, playing it into Giroud, who immediately flicks it to Iwobi. The youngster keeps the momentum going with a pass for Oxlade-Chamberlain to chase to the byline. He crosses it into the area for the arriving Alexis, who sma
    • 55'
Burnley are looking rattled at the moment, and need to compose themselves as a corner from the Gunners nearly sneaks in under the crossbar but they manage to clear off the line just in time.
    • 57'
Alexis hoists another one into the body of Giroud, who holds the ball up superbly against his man, and tries to back-heel it into the path of the onrushing Iwobi. However, he's released that too soon, and not even the fleet-footed youngster can get there before Mee.
    • 59'
Arsenal simply aren't letting Burnley get more than a taste of possession here. There's none of the route-one passes and determined running that caused the Gunners so many problems in the first period.
    • 61'
Elneny slams another effort down the throat of Heaton, who holds onto it well. The Arsenal debutant certainly has an eye for goal, and judging by his strikes this afternoon, we could be seeing a few belters from him in his Gunners career.
    • 63'
GOOD MOVE FROM BURNLEY! Gabriel is once again roasted on a spit by Gray, whose reverse pass strands him near the corner flag and has Boyd racing into the area from the byline. He tries to cut it to Vokes for the finish, but Koscielny arrives with a timely challenge to put out that fire!
    • 65'
Alexis has the ball and was about to get on his bike to lead the Arsenal counter-attack, but Arfield decides to take one for the team and fouls the Chilean. The referee has no choice but to issue a yellow card.
    • 67'
SI J. Barton SO A. Sánchez
    • 67'
Jones' game is at an end as he's replaced by Barton, who hears it from a section of the crowd who still haven't forgotten his tussle with Gervinho nearly five years ago that saw the Ivorian sent off.
    • 67'
THAT COULD HAVE BEEN THREE! Alexis gets the ball forward to Gibbs on the overlap with a lovely scooped pass, and the full-back tees it up for Elneny to strike. He shapes to curl one into the top corner, but gets it horribly wrong, sending the ball miles over the top.
    • 69'
Dangerous free-kick for Burnley to give away as Alexis is clipped right on the edge of the area. The Chilean seemed to have no space left, but as he tends to do, suddenly wriggled into a pocket and was fouled.

SI T. Rosický SO A. Sánchez
    • 71'
      SI Arteta SO A. Sánchez
    • 71'
Iwobi also departs, and he's another to have enjoyed a confident game. He left his fingerprints all over both goals, twice registering the 'pre-assist', if you will. On comes Rosicky for his first appearance of the season, and he's cheered on by the home fans.
    • 71'
Coquelin has made an accomplished return to the first team, making a few important challenges to set up attacks in the Burnley half. He's replaced by Arteta for the closing stretch.
    • 72'
ALEXIS NEARLY WRAPS IT UP! The free-kick finally takes place after the break for the substitutions, and the Chilean gets it over the wall. It starts dipping, but Heaton has his eyes locked on it and pushes it away spectacularly!
    • 73'
Koscielny takes out Gray with cynical use of his arm, and that's a clear booking for the French defender. He was shaky at times in the first-half, but has looked much more like his usual self since the restart.
    • 75'
SI R. Hennings SO A. Sánchez
    • 75'
Vokes really hasn't been much of a factor in the second-half. Starved of service and pushed to the periphery of proceedings by the deeper Arsenal defensive line, Dyche decides to pull him and introduce Hennings.
    • 77'
Barton loses out to Giroud after he was caught dallying on the ball in his own half, but the attack came too soon for Arsenal to get runners in position to capitalise on the mismatch in numbers.
    • 78'
SI T. Walcott SO A. Sánchez
    • 78'
Job done, and then some for Alexis. He set up the opener for Chambers, before starting and finishing the move for the go-ahead goal. On comes Theo Walcott for the final 12 minutes or so.
    • 80'
SI M. Kightly SO A. Sánchez
    • 80'
Boyd had his moments in the first-half, facilitating play with a few decent balls down the line, but he's another Burnley player to have been wiped off the map in the second-period. On comes Michael Kightly in his place.
    • 82'
The steady interval of substitutions in the last few minutes has served to break up the tempo of this game, which will suit Arsenal just fine. The Gunners are passing the ball among their deeper players, careful not to surrender any space in a dangerous area. Burnley look absolutely exhausted.
    • 84'
Just like that, the Gunners break, with Oxlade-Chamberlain peeling away down the right. He cuts it back to Elneny, who looked to have run right into his man but somehow keeps possession - at the cost of his shooting position. Still, it allows Arsenal to hold the ball deep on the flank and far away f
    • 86'
A little positivity from Burnley in the final minutes as Hennings nearly combines with Gray, but can't bring the ball under control in time. Moments later, Arfield wins a throw, but the potential killer pass towards Gray is intercepted with ease.
    • 88'
Burnley finally get desperate, launching some punts towards the Arsenal box, but a speculative volley from Kightly is sent into orbit. That about sums up what the visitors have been able to contribute in the second-half. It may have been their best opening, actually.
    • 90'
OSPINA IS TESTED! That was the opening that Burnley wanted! Barton finally releases the right through pass, with Gray chasing the ball a half-step ahead of Koscielny. He's being forced wide, but still manages to lash one towards the bottom corner that is helped around the post by the keeper.
