    • KICK OFF
    • 90'
SAVED! Kolarov takes the penalty off Sterling, who won it in the first place for Man City, and sees his effort saved by Ruddy as the referee calls time on the second half straight after.
    • 90'
PENALTY TO MANCHESTER CITY! Sterling drives forward in the dying minutes and as he checks inside from the left-hand side, Brady brings him down and the referee points to the spot.

SI M. Demichelis SO M. Jarvis
    • 90'
Pellegrini makes his third and final change of the match as he takes penalty goalscorer Toure off in the dying minutes. He’s not happy and gives his manager an ear full as Demichelis comes on as his replacement.
    • 90'
Fernando goes into the referee's book.
    • 90'
CHANCE! Hart redeems himself for his mistake earlier as he makes a great save to deny Olsson's long-range shot from outside the penalty area. It looks as though it takes a nick off another player on the way through.
    • 90'
The fourth official indicates that a minimum of five minutes are being added on as Olsson drives a cross into the box but Kompany clears for Man City. Will there be one last twist in the tale?

That's all from me, Matthew Judge, and it has been a great pleasure talking you through all of today's action from the Etihad. We hope you can join us again very soon. Take care!

Jerome took advantage of Hart's spillage to level the tie in the latter stages of the game after Otamendi gave Man City the lead, but Toure came up with the goods late on for the Citizens.
    • 0'
It's all over and after an action-packed second half, Man City come away with three points in a close 2-1 victory at the Etihad. Toure scores a last-gasp penalty after Martin denied Sterling's goal-bound shot with his arm, and was sent off as a result.

Man City similarly struggled against an innovative system used by Watford earlier on in the season and headed into the interval 0-0 that game as well. But they flew straight on the traps in the second half and took control from there, which Norwich need to be aware of if they're to come away from th

Martin has shifted infield from right-back as a third centre-back this afternoon and Brady is acting as a right wing-back. Man City's full-backs haven't been allowed to get into the game at the moment and therefore it's so far so good for Neil's charges.
    • 0'
It's honours even so far at the Etihad as both sets of players head down the tunnel for the half-time break. Norwich's surpising 5-4-1 system caused Man City a headache or two in the opening spell but the Citizens had a couple of chances to score, particularly through Bony.

Both sets of players are stripped and raring to go as they leave the tunnel and enter onto the field here at the Etihad Stadium. We are just moments away from seeing the action start to unfold.

TEAM NEWS: Pellegrini has made five changes to the side which started Man City's last match against Crystal Palace in the Capital One Cup. Joe Hart, Bacary Sagna, Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Otamendi and Fernandinho all come into the starting eleven for this afternoon's game.

Norwich, on the other hand, have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and haven't tasted victory in the Premier League since mid-September. Only Newcastle United and Bournemouth (22) have conceded more league goals than the Canaries' 21 so far this season, but they did play well

Man City are looking to maintain top spot in the Premier League and are coming into today's match in blistering form. Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE text commentary on today's Premier League clash between Manchester City and Norwich City from the Etihad Stadium. I'm Matthew Judge and I will be your host for the match, which kicks off at 3pm.
    • 1'
Norwich get us under way here at the Etihad. The man in charge of the cards for today's encounter is Robert Madley.
    • 3'
Toure sprays a pass out wide to Navas but the Spaniard drives a cross which bypasses Bony and goes out for a throw-in to Norwich. The Canaries have set up to play five at the back at the Etihad this afternoon.
    • 5'
Miscommunication arises between Martin and Ruddy as a long ball bounces between them and Iheanacho looks set to score a tap-in, but the Norwich goalkeeper makes a good save in the nick of time for the visitors.
    • 7'
Robbie Brady is currently playing in an unusual right wing-back position for Norwich at the moment. You feel that is something Pellegrini's men will look to target throughout today's proceedings as they continue to dominate the ball inside the opening seven minutes.
    • 9'
Bony collects the ball from Toure and spins away from Bassong, who gets far too tight to the Man City striker, and drives a shot towards goal which Ruddy parries away from goal really well.
    • 11'
Brady gets away from Kolarov down the left-hand side and tries to play a pass towards Jerome, but Kompany steps up early and snuffs out the danger. Norwich are using the ball well at the moment, getting a good feel for possession after a decent start from the hosts.
    • 13'
CHANCE! Jarvis gets half a yard down the left wing and whips in a cracking cross towards the back stick which Bassong meets, but he guides his header wide of the target from close range. Hart comes and fails to clear the danger for Man City.
    • 15'
Norwich are playing the ball out from the defence and are pushing forward too easily thanks to having an extra centre-back to play around Man City's front two. The visitors have made a good start to this game.
    • 17'
Navas curls in a cross towards the Norwich backline which Ruddy fails to deal with and allows Man City to win a corner. The hosts are piling all their big men forward for this one.
    • 18'
SAVE! Kolarov bends in a good corner towards the middle of the penalty area and Otamendi rises highest in the midst of a queue of players, but he sends his header too close to Ruddy who gobbles it up with ease.
    • 20'
CHANCE! Otamendi steals the ball away from Tettey's grasp and plays in Iheanacho. The Nigerian feeds it through to Bony who gets past Bassong with clever skill, but he blazes an effort well wide of the target. He should be doing much better there.
    • 22'
A short suspension in play occurs as Martin receives treatment from the Norwich physios. Canaries boss Neil uses the opportunity to dish out orders to some of his players.
    • 24'
Man City are having the lion's share of the ball at the moment but are struggling to break down Norwich's shape. Their full-backs in particular are finding it difficult to engineer space to get forward.
    • 26'
De Bruyne collects a threaded through ball from Toure and skips past from both Martin and Bassong to set up Bony, who again lashes a shot away from Ruddy between the sticks just outside the penalty area.
    • 28'
Brady marauds forward down the right and plays a lovely pass towards Jarvis making tracks beyond Sagna, and the West Ham United loanee wins his side a corner as Hart denies his first-time effort superbly.
    • 30'
Toure presses and wins the ball back terrifically well in the middle of the park and sets De Bruyne on his way. The Belgian gets barged over by Bennett as he feeds a pass sideways to Bony and the referee awards Man City a free-kick just outside Norwich's box.
    • 32'
SAVE! After a short delay following Jarvis receiving some treatment, Toure steps up for Man City and forces a great save from Ruddy with a curling effort towards the top corner.
    • 34'
Kolarov bends in a corner towards the Norwich penalty area which gets cleared and as the Canaries try to launch a counter-attack, De Bruyne spots the danger and makes a tactical foul to snuff out the danger.
    • 35'
Fernandinho opens up his body and plays a pass forward towards Toure, but the Ivorian powerhouse just fails to get enough contact on the ball as it runs clear for Norwich through Olsson.
    • 37'
Howson steals the ball away from Kolarov in his own half and plays in Brady, who launches a long ball forward towards Jerome and the Norwich striker holds it up brilliantly against Otamendi. Fantastic play from the former Birmingham City striker.
    • 39'
MISS! Toure clips a lovely ball over the top of Norwich's backline towards an onrushing De Bruyne, who heads it backwards when in a one-on-one position towards Bony and sees the attack break down. Perhaps the Belgian wasn't sure if he was onside or not.
    • 41'
De Bruyne plays in a low corner which Sagna flicks on at the near post towards Kompany, who gets away from Bassong in the middle of the box but sends his header just wide of the target. So unlucky.
    • 43'
Norwich have played well in the first half and are just minutes away from heading in for the half-time interval level on the scoreboard. Man City are pushing to break the deadlock as time ticks on.
    • 45'
The fourth official indicates that just one minute is being added on to the first period as Brady takes his time with a throw-in inside his own half. The referee will blow his whistle once it's taken.
    • 46'
SI N. Redmond SO M. Jarvis
    • 46'
Neil makes his first change of the game for Norwich as he takes off Jarvis, who was struggling with an injury at the end of the first half. Star man Redmond heads on as his replacement for the next 45 minutes.
    • 46'
Welcome back! Man City get us under way again here at the Etihad as Nathan Redmond comes on for Matt Jarvis for the second 45 minutes.
    • 47'
CHANCE! Redmond bursts past Fernandinho and drives at Man City's backline unmarked. He plays in Tettey down the side of Kolarov deep into the hosts' half but Otamendi makes a crucial intervention to prevent a potential Norwich goal.
    • 49'
It's all Norwich at the moment as they keep possession moving from side to side and look to pick their opportunities carefully. Man City aren't pressing them at all so far and are instead standing off them.
    • 51'
Kolarov powers forward for Man City and plays a driving through pass looking to pick out Bony, but Bennett diverts the ball behind for a corner with an outstretched leg running towards his own goal.
    • 53'
Otamendi's pressure sees play run through to Bony just outside the Norwich penalty area and as the former Swansea City man tries to get a shot away, Bassong takes him and the ball out with a tough challenge.
    • 54'
SI R. Sterling SO M. Jarvis
    • 54'
Pellegrini makes his first change of the game for Man City as Iheanacho comes off for Sterling just before the hour mark. It’ll be interesting to see if the Chilean changes his shape to a 4-2-3-1 or keeps the 4-4-2 in place.
    • 55'
Sagna latches onto De Bruyne's acrobatic pass down the right-hand side and plays in Navas, but the Spaniard's cross towards Sterling at the back post has too much on it as Howson clears the danger.
    • 57'
De Bruyne picks up the ball inside the Norwich penalty area from Sagna's pass and plays it towards Bony, but Martin gets across and makes the all important clearance for the visitors.
    • 59'
CHANCE! Brady's corner gets cleared excellently by Kompany to set Sterling away on the counter-attack, but the former Liverpool man runs away from his team-mates on the break. He eventually picks a pass which finds its way to Toure via Navas, who fails to hit the target from distance.
    • 61'
De Bruyne curls in a corner towards an unmarked Bony but rather than knock the ball back into the danger zone, the striker makes a mess of his header as it trickles wide and that allows Bassong to clear.
    • 63'
WASTE! Toure collects the ball inside Norwich's half but he makes the wrong choice as he plays an overcooked pass out of bounds looking for Sterling, even though De Bruyne was getting the better of Olsson from the right flank.
    • 65'
Fernandinho tries to play a pass forward to Bony but Bassong cuts it out with good anticipation. The home crowd starts to belt out 'Blue Moon' as they realise their team is struggling at the moment and need support.
    • 67'
      G N. Otamendi Assist M. Jarvis
    • 67'
The assist came from K. De Bruyne.
    • 67'
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!! It’s 1-0 to Man City! Otamendi skips away from Bennett far too easily inside the penalty area and sends a bullet header past Ruddy from a good De Bruyne corner. Lift off at the Etihad!
    • 69'
It's all Man City now as they can smell blood and want to hit Norwich for two in a matter of minutes. The visitors are on the ropes at the moment and can't get the ball clear.
    • 70'
      SI G. O'Neil SO M. Jarvis
    • 70'
Neil makes his second change of the match for Norwich as he takes off Mulumbu, who featured in midweek for the Canaries in the League Cup. O’Neil heads on as his replacement in a midfield swap.
    • 71'
CHANCE! Sagna picks up the ball from De Bruyne down the right and curls in a peach of a cross towards Bony, who gets in between Bassong and Martin but sends his header wide of the bottom corner. Unlucky.
    • 73'
      SI Fernando SO M. Jarvis
    • 73'
Pellegrini makes his second change of the game for Man City as he takes off De Bruyne and brings on Fernando. It appears the Citizens’ boss wants more midfield protection to see the game out now.
    • 73'
Bennett gets much tighter this time to Man City goalscorer Otamendi as Kolarov curls in a corner from the left, but it fails to beat the first man as Howson clears forward for Norwich.
    • 75'
Fernando takes his time to release the ball in the middle of the park and as Jerome chases him down, he just about gets rid of it to Otamendi as the home crowd breathes a huge sigh of relief.
    • 76'
Jerome becomes the second man to get his name taken by the referee as he presses Otamendi and brings down the Argentine defender with a sliding challenge. There was no malice intended but it was mistimed slightly.
    • 77'
Man City have taken their foot off the gas in the last couple of minutes as they look to wrap up the three points. 1-0 is always a dangerous scoreline to try and protect but Norwich have caused them too many problems this afternoon and it's been hard enough getting the opener.
    • 79'
BLOCK! It's wonderful link-up play between Kolarov and Bony as the latter plays in the full-back with a clever back heel. Martin clears the danger only to the Ivorian forward but his shot gets blocked by O'Neil on the stretch.
    • 81'
Howson tries to set up a one-two with Tettey but the reverse pass from the latter back to the former carries too much weight, and allows Otamendi to come across and hack away the ball.
    • 83'
      G C. Jerome Assist M. Jarvis
    • 83'
GOOOOOOOOOAAALLLLL!! It’s 1-1 and Norwich are back in it! Hart drops a poor cross from Brady right into the path of Jerome, who taps home with ease to send the away stand into rapture. Game on!
    • 85'
1-0 is always a risky scoreline to protect, which is what Man City have tried to do since taking the lead, but Hart has completely let his side down. Brady's cross wasn't dangerous at all and he's spilled it right to Jerome. What a gift for the Canaries.
    • 87'
SI L. Grabban SO M. Jarvis
    • 87'
Neil makes his third and final change of the match for Norwich as he takes off Jerome, who has just equalised for the Canaries, and brings on Grabban as his replacement late on in a striker swap.
    • 87'
PENALTY TO MANCHESTER CITY! Martin blocks Sterling's goal-bound shot with his hand and the referee points straight to the spot. Ruddy drops the ball from Navas' cross and gifts Man City the chance to score.
    • 88'
HE’S OFF!! Ruddy spills Navas’ simple cross into the box, much like what Hart done for Norwich’s equaliser, and that gives Sterling the chance to score. Martin sacrifices himself as he blocks the winger’s shot into the net and receives his marching orders.
    • 89'
GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!! It’s 2-1 and Man City take the lead again! Toure makes no mistake from the spot as he blasts it into the back of the net. The hosts look set to come away with the three points now.
    • 90'
Tetley picks up a yellow card for Norwich as he makes a silly foul in the middle of the park. It comes about through frustration, more than anything, after seeing his side throw away a point here.
