And that's half time! West Brom lead 2-0 at the break. It was nip and tuck for the first 15 minutes or so but since Brown Ideye's goal it has been one-way traffic and the home side could be out of sight. Sam Allardyce and the West Ham supporters will be bitterly disappointed at the interval.

That's all from me today folks! Thank you very much for joining me. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Until next time I've been Chris Baker - see you again soon.

Tony Pulis has done a tremedous job since taking over and has got the team playing with a lot of confidence. They are well organised as you would expect but in Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino he has a very potent looking strikeforce. No-one will want a trip to The Hawthorns in the quarter-finals.

Where to start with West Ham? Individually and collectively they just weren't at it today for whatever reason. They have really let down their fans by not just the result but the manner of their performance. It was their biggest game of the season and they were second best all over the park. Allardy

West Brom will now look forward to the draw for the next round. They'll be hoping to avoid the big guns and get another home tie. After going in front the Baggies never looked back and were full value for their four-nil victory. If anything it could've and should've been a bigger winning margin.

To be brutal the Hammers haven't turned up so far and that will be unforgivable as far as Big Sam is concerned. The lack of pressure on the ball and absence of tackles in midfield will be a real worry for West Ham. Allardyce will need to give a massive team talk if his side are to stay alive in the
    • 0'
Well that couldn't have really gone much better for Tony Pulis' side. West Brom have go their tactics spot on so far. They have stifled West Ham and not given them any space to attack in behind their defence. The Baggies have been tigerish in midfield and energetic up front. The only slight regret P

There are over five-thousand travelling West Ham supporters that have made the trip to the West Midlands for this early kick off and a tremendous atmosphere is building as kick-off approaches. Both teams are in their usual kits today. The Baggies are in white and navy and the Hammers in their claret

This promises to be a cracking game with both teams well placed in the Premier League, they will fancy having a real go at the FA Cup, especially with the draw being so open. A place in the quarter finals is at stake today. Pulis and Big Sam know that a semi-final at Wembley is just two games away.

As for Sam Allardyce he is able to select Adrian in goal after his red card against Southampton on Wednesday was overturned yesterday. The Hammers have been rocked by the news that Andy Carroll has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Yet another setback for the big centre f

Tony Pulis makes two changes to the team that beat Swansea City at home during the week. Good afternoon and welcome to The Hawthorns for this FA Cup fifth-round tie between West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United. I'm Chris Baker and I'll be guiding you through all the action this afternoon.
    • 1'
And we're off! West Ham get the game underway.
    • 2'
It certainly isn't a full house just yet here at The Hawthorns but it seems to be filling up slowly. Martin Atkinson awards the first free-kick of the match to WBA after Craig Gardner clashes with Alex Song challenging for a bouncing ball in midfield. Bit harsh on West Ham that decision.
    • 4'
West Brom are playing pretty deep at the moment and are allowing the visitors to have the ball in non-threatening areas. There are two banks of four for Allardyce's men to break down and they will need to be patient. Pulis is obviously concerned about the pace in the West Ham team.
    • 6'
Mark Noble is pulled back on the edge of the area and it presents the Hammers with a good opportunity to test Ben Foster early on. Aaron Cresswell takes it but he rather leans back and sends the ball harmlessly over the bar.
    • 8'
Pulis' game plan is clear. Sit deep, absorb the pressure and then look to break on the counter attack whenever possible. Brown Ideye surges forward and lays the ball off to James Morrison who has a pop at goal. His shot is deflected off Tomkins and appears to strike Kevin Nolan on the arm. The West
    • 10'
Chances at either end now as the game is starting to come to life. Enner Valencia cuts in from the left after being released down the wing by a cross-field ball from Jenkinson. The Ecuadorian can only drag his shot into the side netting. West Brom then launch an attack of their own and Gardner goes
    • 13'
Tomkins went up for a header and landed very heavily. The centre-back stays down but after some work with the magic sponge he appears to be ok to continue. Looks to have been winded more than anything else.
    • 15'
The four strikers on show today look very bright and lively in these early stages. Berahino has looked to take on the West Ham defence whenever he has got on the ball.
    • 16'
OVER! Valencia takes a shot on from a free-kick right on the top of the 'D' of the penalty area. The West Ham centre forward goes for power but only suceeds in blasting the ball over the bar. The set piece was conceded after Morrison needlessly bundled Nolan to the floor.

    • 20'
GOAL! BROWN IDEYE IS ON THE SCORESHEET AGAIN! 1-0 to WBA! Gardner sprayed a lovely pass out wide to Dawson who beat Cresswell to the ball. The West Brom right back then passes the ball across the six yard box to leave the man of the moment Ideye with the simple task of tapping home.
    • 22'
One nearly becomes two as Gardner and Morrison exchange passes outside the box and Morrison lets fly. The shot is straight down the throat of Adrian who rather nervously parries the ball over the cross bar.
    • 24'
West Brom are again appealing for a spot kick. Kevin Nolan barges Ideye to ground inside the box but referee Martin Atkinson is unmoved. Oustide the penalty area that might have been given as a free-kick, Nolan was taking a risk there.
    • 26'
The linesman makes a shocking decision to award West Ham a throw in after the ball clearly bounced out of play off the knee of Sakho. Fortunately for the official it comes to nothing and in fact it is West Brown who spring forward and Ideye wins a corner after being tackled by Kouyate. The Nigerian
    • 28'
Offside! Berahino looks to break through the Hammers backline and set Gardner away. The Baggies midfielder is clean through on goal but is denied by Adrian, it wouldn't have counted in anycase.
    • 30'
The visitors have been rocked by that early goal and they need to regain their composure to ensure that they don't fall further behind. Downing and Song look to get the West Ham passing game going but Noble's ball out wide towards Cresswell is overhit and goes out of play for a goal kick.
    • 33'
Jenkinson who has seen precious little of the ball so far then gallops forward on the overlap but then screws his cross off the pitch for a thrown in. Sam Allardyce could really do with Sakho or Valencia coming a bit deeper to receive possession. At the moment the gap between the West Ham midfield a
    • 36'
Sessegnon skips inside from the right wing onto his less favoured left foot and takes aim. Unfortunately for the Baggies his shot is high, wide and not very handsome. Way, way over the bar. Positive intent from the home side though.
    • 38'
OFF THE BAR! Nearly another blockbuster to add to the Craig Gardner collection. The West Brom midfielder is given far too much room and is allowed to line up a shot. He hits the ball so sweetly but it cannons back of the crossbar. Dawson tries to hook the rebound goalwards but makes a bit of a hash
    • 40'
It would not surprise me at all to see Carlton Cole come on at half-time. West Ham desperately need a different option to aim for in an attacking sense. Kevin Nolan looks a bit lost at the moment without a target man to feed off from.

GOAL! 2-0! James Morrison doubles the lead with a superb effort from 25 yards out. Yet again the West Ham midfield and defence allow a West Brom attacker oceans of space outside the penalty box. Morrision drives forward before unleashing a swerving right footed shot that beats Adrian all ends up. Su
    • 44'
OVER! Tomkins meets Downing inswinging corner from the right but can't get over the ball and heads over from about eight yards out. Ben Foster is still yet to be tested in this first half.
    • 46'
West Bromwich Albion get the second half restarted.
    • 48'
No changes to either side as of yet. Former Baggie Morgan Amalfitano would be another decent option off the bench for West Ham. Allardyce is giving his starting 11 a chance to show that they can turn this around.
    • 50'
Valencia gets caught with a pretty nasty looking tackle from Dawson just inside the West Brom half. The defender was very lucky to get away without a booking there. Tomkins delivers a straight pass into the penalty area but the Hammers are pulled up for a foul inside the box.
    • 53'
Almost half a chance for Berahino to make it three-nil. The England under-21 striker has been playing in the inside left channel and causing Carl Jenkinson all sorts of problems but on this occasion the West Brom forward gets the ball stuck under his feet and the move breaks down.
    • 55'
West Ham want a free-kick on the edge of the box as Lescott clatters into Valencia. Atkinson waves play on as Alex Song had a shooting chance on his left foot but his effort is tame and is easily dealt with by Ben Foster. The Hammers are less than impressed with that 'advantage'.

      G B. Ideye Assist C. Dawson
    • 57'
Brown Ideye buries a header into the bottom corner after Sessegnon's deflected shot loops into his path. There was no pace on the the ball but Ideye generated a tremendous amount of power to give Adrian absolutely no chance.

    • 60'
Allardyce does finally make a change but you suspect it is far too late. Kevin Nolan is taken off and Amalfitano comes on. The West Ham skipper, not for the first time this season, gets his fair share of boos from the travelling faithful as he departs. Given how the Hammers have played so far today
    • 63'
Amalfitano almost wriggles free after Kouyate's forward pass is flicked on by Valencia but his first touch isn't quite good enough and the ball runs through to Foster. Carlton Cole's introduction looks to be imminent but it begs the question - why didn't he come on at half-time?
    • 66'
SAVE! And it is a fantastic stop from Ben Foster. West Ham thought they were back in it but Sakho's header is parried by the West Brom goalkeeper and then McAuley mops up to make sure the ball doesn't squirm over the line. That was nearly the lifeline the Hammers have been looking for.

Enner Valencia initially did very well to spin away and take the visitors forward. The West Ham striker then laid the ball off to Cresswell who put in a typically accurate delivery that was met by Sakho, who really shouldn't have given Foster a chance. It turns out to be Sakho's last involvement as

The assist came from C. Gardner.
    • 72'
The link-up between Ideye and Berahino has been electric at times today and they combined beautifully to turn this into a rout. Berahino span into the right-hand channel and lashed a shot into Adrian's near post. It was a fierce strike but the West Ham 'keeper will be very disappointed to be beaten
    • 72'
GOAL! Things have got worst! It's 4-0 to the Baggies and The Hawthorns is bouncing.
    • 74'
West Ham need to be careful that this doesn't become anymore embarrassing. Joey O'Brien came on earlier for Alex Song to allow Kouyate to move into midfield but it hasn't made them look any more solid defensively. They have been all over the place at the back.
    • 76'
CHANCE! Dawson is denied by an acrobatic save by Adrian. The West Brom right-back pings a shot towards the top corner but the Hammers goalkeeper is equal to it. Aaron Cresswell has had a brilliant season up until today but has had a torrid afternoon.

The Baggies fans are in fine voice, as you can imagine. They are signing about Wembley and if they continue to play like t
    • 80'
SAVE! Ideye almost completes his hat-trick as he stabs his foot at a McManaman cross but is denied by the outstretched leg of Adrian. Sam Allardyce must be totally mystified by his sides performance today. This is easily their worst display of the season.
    • 82'
SHOT! Morrison stings the palms of Adrian from the top of the box. It has been virtually shooting practice for West Brom at times today.
    • 84'
The home side are trying to get Ideye his hat-trick but Morrisson can't play in the striker for his third goal of the game. The Baggies are toying with their opponents at the moment. McManaman has been dangerous since coming on with his directness and excellent dribbling skills. The West Ham player'

    • 88'
CLOSE! McManaman is inches away from making it 5-0 with a curling shot with his left foot. It would have been a fantastic goal and the icing on the cake for the Baggies. Adrian could only stand, watch and hope that the ball went wide and it did, just.
    • 90'
The West Ham fans are ironically cheering the passes as West Brom allow the away side to have some possession. I don't think even the most optimistic Baggies would've predicted such a one-sided game before kick-off.
