Italian defender Iacopo La Rocca has joined Melbourne City, his third A-League club, signing a two year deal with the side.
City's A-League recruitment drive has continued, bringing in the 33 year-old A-League champion, two time Premiers Plate and AFC Champions League winner to solidify an already deep squad.
"Iacopo has enjoyed team and individual success during his time in the A-League, which will provide us with a player not only with vast experience and who complements our existing defensive players, but who possesses a strong desire and winning mentality," City boss Warren Joyce said in a club statement.
La Rocca made 88 appearances in the A-League since moving from Swiss Side Grasshoper in 2012.
"This is a new club and a new challenge for me, one which I am very excited about," La Rocca, who became an Australian citizen last November, said in the club statement.
La Rocca began training with his new teammates, who include recent aquisitions Scott Jamieson and Eugene Galekovic, on Friday.
City are set to face Brisbane Premier League side Peninsula Power in their FFA Cup Round of 32 match in Redcliffe August 1.
