Goal-shy Bundesliga side Kaiserslautern is hoping to remedy its weakness by signing highly-regarded Poland Under-20 international Jakub Swierczok from Polish second division outfit Polonia Bytom.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Kaiserslautern.
Kaiserslautern is third from bottom of the Bundesliga and has scored just 13 goals, the fewest in the league.
"He is a talented player who has a nose for goal," said club president Stefan Kuntz.
"We are convinced he has the potential to make it in the Bundesliga."
