Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has recalled defenders John Paintsil, Jonathan Mensah and David Addy as the Black Stars get closer to a place at next year's African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Appiah also included Espanyol midfielder Wakaso Mubarak and local player Daniel Nii Adjei in the national squad for the first time.
Ghana leads Malawi 2-0 ahead of the second leg of its tie, which will decide who qualifies for the Cup of Nations.
Former Fulham defender Paintsil hasn't appeared for Ghana since March.
Mensah, who plays in France, was captain of the team that lost in the semi-finals at the last Cup of Nations.
Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed of Evian and goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy also earned recalls, while striker Asamoah Gyan was again selected after his return to internationals.
