Former Sweden international Ove Grahn has died aged 64 after a lengthy illness.

Former Sweden international Ove Grahn has died aged 64 after a lengthy illness.

Grahn represented his country 45 times and played at the 1970 and 1974 World Cups.

A strong ball-winning midfielder, he scored 62 goals in 91 games for club side Elfsborg, before enjoying more success with Swiss side Grasshoppers, where he played for 10 seasons.

Former international team-mate Ralf Edstrom told Swedish television channel SVT: "I remember Ove Grahn as a great player and a good fellow."
