The K-League club had been linked with Perth Glory's one-time Socceroos defender Rhys Williams but have instead turned their attention to Jurman, with the Sky Blues set to receive a nominal fee.

Jurman, 27, has been in domineering form alongside Alex Wilkinson in the Sky Blues' record-breaking unbeaten start to the A-league season - and his future has been a matter of speculation for several weeks.

With just six months of his contact remaining, Sydney boss Graham Arnold had promised not to stand in his way of a money-spinning Asian contract should a concrete offer eventuate - and it appears he has delivered on that pledge.

Suwon are keen for Jurman head to South Korea immediately, meaning his appearances in the 2-0 victory over Brisbane Roar is likely to have been his last for the club and he is unlikely to be available against Central Coast this weekend.

Should Jurman leave Arnold will now step up his pursuit of Williams, 28, who he identified as his preferred option should Jurman depart during the January transfer window.

However, Williams also head Asian options and may not be tempted to head to Allianz Stadium.

Jurman, who was in his second spell with the Sky Blues, made 85 appearances for the club whilst also spending two seasons with Brisbane Roar.
