The World Game understands 18-year-old Brimmer, who is off-contract at the end of this season, will not be re-signed by the Reds.

Brimmer was spotted by Liverpool scouts who signed the then 16-year-old in 2014, during the Reds' trip to Australia to play A-League side Melbourne Victory.

At the time Brimmer, who has been referred to by some as the next Harry Kewell, was on the brink of signing with Victory.

Brimmer, a Nunawading City junior who spent time in Football Federation Victoria’s NTC program, signed a three-year deal with the Merseyside outfit, in a dream move for the youngster who grew up idolising Liverpool.
The midfielder has played for both the Joeys and Young Socceroos, and represented Australia at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup.

It is yet to be seen where the talented teen will head next or if Victory will once again vie for his signature.

But he could still be set to continue his career in the UK with two English clubs, including Premier League side Burnley, believed to be interested in him.

Should he sign for Burnley he could replace fellow 18-year-old Australian midfielder Aiden O'Neill, who has just left the club on loan to League One outfit Oldham Athletic.
