Italy took the lead in the 15th minute through Gianluca Scamacca before Ecuador were reduced to 10-men in the 41st minute when Jackson Porozo was shown a straight red for a shocking tackle.
However the South Americans were given a great chance to equalise from the penalty spot, but Leonardo Campana had his attempt saved by Alessandro Plizzari seconds before half-time.
Mexico 0 Japan 3
Japan produced a brilliant performance to defeat Mexico 3-0.
Taisei Miyashiro broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, before Japan double their lead in the 52nd minute when Kyosuke Tagawa headed home from a corner.
The Asian side finished off the victory when Miyashiro completed a wonderful team move and secure all three points for Japan.

Hosts Poland recorded their first victory of the tournament with an easy win over Oceania's Tahiti.
Jakub Bednarczyk opened the scoring in the 18th minute with an incredible strike. Marcel Zylla doubled Poland's lead before Dominik Staczyk struck twice to make it 4-0.
Adrian Benedyczak completed the rout in the 74th minute as Poland moved above Colombia into second place in the group.

Senegal are on top of their group after Niane and Dion Lopy both converted penalties to record a comfortable 2-0 win over Colombia.
