Third-placed AEK Athens emerged victorious by the odd goal in five at Ergotelis with Nathan Burns on target in the Super League clash.

AEK appeared comfortable when it moved into a two-goal lead with goals from Ismael Blanco and Burns, but Sergio Leal's penalty on the hour - the concession of which earned Kostas Manolas a second yellow card - cut its lead to a single goal.

Nikos Georgeas made it 3-1 in the last minute, rendering Machalis Fragoulakis' injury-time strike largely immaterial.

Runaway leader Olympiacos finished with 10 men as it was held to a 1-1 draw at Panionios.

Kevin Mirallas fired the top team into an unsurprising lead over a side loitering just one place above the relegation play-off spot two minutes before half-time.

But it was pegged back by substitute Vaclav Sverkos in the 68th minute and lost Albert Riera to a straight red card five minutes later. However, it sits 10 points clear of nearest challenger Panathinakos at the summit.

The result also keeps Panionios a point ahead of Asteras Tripoli, which won 1-0 at bottom club Panserriakos thanks to Rogerio Martins' 19th-minute penalty.

Marius Niculae and Leonel Rios earned Kavala a 2-0 win at PAOK Salonika, a result which keeps it just two points behind AEK in fourth place.

Larissa and Aris Salonika shared a dramatic 2-2 draw in the day's other game. Daniel Cousin's opener for the host was cancelled out by Danilo Pereira and Raul Marcelo Bobadilla's last-minute goal appeared to have earned Aris victory - only for Romeu to level in stoppage-time.
