A brilliant double from Perth Glory marquee star Sam Kerr wasn't enough as Adelaide United has snatched a 2-2 draw courtesy of some Veronica Latsko heroics.

Latsko scored the first and last goals of the match as United fought back from a Kerr flurry which gave the visitors a 2-1 lead at the break.

With Perth in control of the match with the game going into the closing stages, The 22-year-old American volleyed home from close range to help Ivan Karlovic's side take home a point.

Glory started the match in ominous form but it was Adelaide who struck first with Latsko running onto a ball in behind the defence before out muscling the defence and firing into the back of the net after 22 minutes.

Kerr and her Perth side refused to lay down with the Matildas star rising high to head home forty minutes in after a pin point cross from Rachel Hill.

It was Kerr on target again only seven minutes later as she wrong footed the Adelaide defence before claiming her second goal of the night.

Perth was reduced to 10 players mid way through the second stanza with Alyssa Mautz reciving her second yellow card of the night.

Adelaide spurned a number of gilt-edged chances as the game edged closer to full-time before Latsko ensured her team went home with a point.

The result leaves Perth and Adelaide deadlocked in second spot on the ladder with nine points from their first five games.

Glory will next week take on Sydney FC at home, while Adelaide United host league leaders Melbourne Victory.
