Bolt, 31, told reporters he was 'very serious' about aiming to win a contract with the A-League club, who finished with the wooden spoon last season.
"I want to play football and this is my opportunity," Bolt - who wore the club's scarf after flying in from Los Angeles - said.
"I've said all along this is for real and I'm here to show what I can do.
"I’m going to make the most of this great opportunity and I’m looking forward to making the fans proud."
