Barcelona's treble-winning stars made the most of their latest victory today, indulging in a huge celebration on home soil after returning from victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League final in Berlin.

The team, which added the European title to its domestic league and cup wins this season to claim an unprecented second tereble, took the obligatory open top bus tour through downtown Barcelona to the delight of thousands of fans.

The bus, adorned with a "Campions" livery, snaked its way slowly through the city as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique, Neymar, Ivan Rakitic and others danced atop the roof.

Eventually, Luis Enrique's squad were dropped off at the Camp Nou, Barcelona's home ground, where an estimated 70,000 fans were in attendance to hail their heroes - enjoying live music before the players arrived on the pitch one by one to a rapturous reception.

Xavi was last to emerge, with the outgoing club captain receiving the biggest cheer of the evening when he took the microphone to thank coach Luis Enrique, his team-mates and the hordes of Barca fans for their support throughout his glittering career.

Luis Enrique also spoke, as did a host of other players, including Messi, Andres Iniesta, Neymar and a tearful Dani Alves, who is widely expected to leave the club in the close-season.

Barca's squad then completed a joyous lap of honour with their silverware and families, before a spectacular fireworks display rounded the celebrations off.

Of course the players themselves were not shy about posting the experience during the day to social media, not least Neymar, whose photos were popping up everywhere.

If you were wondering, the burgers were delivered.
