Luongo's QPR took on Bristol City on Wednesday morning (AEDT) and made a fast start to claim a 1-0 lead at the interval thanks to a goal from Matt Smith.

Sadly for the Aussie midfielder, the second half was a completely different story as City equalised in the 73rd minute and then snatched a dramatic late winner from the penalty spot for a 2-1 victory.

It was a full 90 minute performance from Luongo who was inolved in much of QPR's buildup through the middle of the park.

The loss means QPR drops to 16th on the Championship ladder and 11 points outside the play-off positions.

It was an equally frustrating night for Irvine as his Hull City team battled to a 2-2 draw against lowly Rotherham.

Two goals in the opening 25 minutes had the Tigers on track for an easy win, but the match turned in the second stanza as The Millers netted twice in 10 minutes.

Irvine had a chance at being the hero for Hull but his header sailed wide.

Hull sit in 12th position but are still a shot of making the Championship playoffs as the sit only seven points outside the top six.

Finally, Milos Degenek delivered a full 90 minute performance as his Al Hilal side thrashed Al Quadisiya 4-1.
