Atromitos trumps PAOK in Greek play-offs

Atromitos came from behind to score a 2-1 Greek Super League play-off victory over PAOK Salonika and boost itschances of snatching a place in the Champions League qualifiers.

Napoleoni scored in the final minute to secure a 2-1 win, having levelled the match seconds into the second half to cancel out Dimitris Salpingidis' 33rd-minute opener.

The win moves Atromitos back level with PAOK on 10 points at the top of the play-off mini-league.

Atromitos - which finished the regular-season fourth, 16 points adrift of second-placed PAOK - also won the first post-season meeting of these two sides 2-1.

Asteras Tripoli is only two points off the pace after a 2-1 win over PAS Giannina.

It took control with Juan Pablo Caffa's sixth minute strike and 10 minutes later doubkled the lead through Savas Tsambouris, and the visitor could not level despite Nikos Korovesis' 23rd-minute penalty.
