While Sydney and the Wanderers are preparing for another derby clash on Saturday, The Sydney Morning Herald reports two of their rising stars in Risdon and O'Neill are on the shopping list of a number of Championship clubs including Villa.
The Birmingham based club, home to former Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak, has been reviewing match tape of Risdon and O'Neil as they size up a move for one or both of the up and coming A-League stars.
Both Perth Glory Juniors, Risdon and O'Neill are close friends and have expressed their desire to one day play in Europe.
With the January transfer window edging closer the pressure will be on for the two Western Australia products to prove their worth and cement a career defining move.
A potential move is sure to be in the back of their minds come Saturday's derby which will also be Risdon's second last game for the Wanderers before he joins the Socceroos in the UAE to commence their AFC Asian Cup defence.
