The Socceroos have two games remaining in AFC Group B, against Nepal then Jordan, with one win enough to secure passage to the third round of qualifying.
They breezed past Chinese Taipei but Duke saw room for improvement, despite his well-taken double.
"It obviously feels good, job done for us and we just move onto the next game, that’s what we’re all about," the 30-year-old said.
"I think [we're] not too happy about the performance, it could have been a bit more polished but we got the job done.
"It’s the biggest honour for me representing the Green and Gold.
"To get two goals is awesome, but still not happy as a striker - I should have had more."
The Western Sydney Wanderers forward says he and the Socceroos squad would not be happy with anything except a perfect record in their remaining matches.
"The target (from now) is maximum points. And we won’t accept anything less."
