On Thursday morning, Melbourne City announced the signing of McCormick, who returns to the W-League after a stint in Spain with Real Betis.
Well-travelled in the league even at the age of 25, McCormick has previously played for Melbourne Victory, Brisbane Roar, Canberra United and Adelaide United.
She is also famous for being a dual-sport professional, having switched to football after winning two AFLW premierships with Adelaide Crows.
“It wasn't a tough decision to join City," McCormick said.
"The club is undoubtedly leading the way in professional women's football in Australia and I believe that environment breeds success, which is something I want to achieve here.
“My goal for this season is really simple, I want to help build a healthy, supportive, and fun environment for the team to achieve its goals.
"I will be bringing my professionalism, elite standards, and work ethic to the club and I really pride myself on respecting my teammates and working for the greater good of the team.
“There's going to be a lot of fresh faces - including me - so I think it's really important that we establish the standards for the season early, which will then drive our campaign to defend what this incredible team has done over the years.”
