ROAR V VICTORY

In his first game since re-signing with Victory, James Troisi found himself on the scoresheet, getting Melbourne's second after Mitch Austin gave them an early lead.

Things only got worse for Roar in the second half with two consecutive penalties awarded to the visitors in the opening five minutes after the break, with Besart Berisha and Mark Milligan coolly converting.

Berisha had his brace with less than ten minutes remaining as he latched onto a beautiful lob over the defence to make it five, while Brisbane scored a late goal courtesy of substitute Petros Skapetis in the 90th minute as the match finished 5-1.

ADELAIDE V NEWCASTLE

One of two all-A-League clashes, it took until the 66th minute for the deadlock to be broken when Michael Marrone found the net with a superb header in the only goal of the match that saw the Reds move on to the next round.
SYDNEY UNITED V FNQ HEAT

Goals galore at Sydney United Sports Centre with the home side simply too good for their Queensland opponents, despite the visitors opening the scoring with a goal in the 23rd minute. Seven were scored by United to six different players, with Shin scoring a brace and Trifiro, Sim, Payne, Nikas and Vranic all finding themselves on the scoresheet as the match ended 7-2.
HUME CITY FC V BENTLEIGH GREENS

Tyson Holmes opened the scoring for Bentleigh Greens just moments into the game after Hume City keeper Michael Weir kicked a clearance directly at his opponent, gifting the visitors a one goal lead just ten minutes in.

The following hour was played out evenly as both sides scrapped for possession, trying to wear each other down until Jayden Prasad scored the equaliser in the 62nd minute as regular time finished level 1-1.

It was Bentley who came out on top in the end after Hume missed their first two penalties, advancing to the round of 16.
