Sydney FC chairman Scott Barlow is willing to stump up the cash for a big-name guest marquee player next A-League season - if coach Graham Arnold finds one who fits the bill.

As the Sky Blues unveiled a brand new logo in their push to swell average attendances north of 20,000 and memberships higher than 15,000, Barlow predicted the club "will go to another level" in terms of support.

Alessandro Del Piero was the last man to turn such bold statements into reality between 2012 and 2014.

Now, with Sydney peaking on the field, question is how they can achieve such enviable status off it.

Sydney FC have rewarded Johnny Warren medalist Milos Ninkovic with a marquee contract for next season, with an official announcement to come this morning.

Though Arnold is currently focused on retaining the core of his squad, he's also flagged his intention to make two or three new signings in his drive for back-to-back premiership-championship doubles.

Whether that might include recruiting a player high profile enough to meet Football Federation Australia's notoriously strict criteria to sit outside the salary cap via their so-called 'Tim Cahill rule' is an issue for Arnold.

If yes, Barlow will assess it on a "case-by-case basis".

"It's something we look at from time to time," Barlow said.

"It's really driven from the football department and what they want.

"If there's the right opportunity that Graham and his coaching staff want to explore then we'll always try and make that a possibility.

"There's always the commercial aspects to consider with those sorts of decisions as well."

Barlow was at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday to unveil the revamped design of Sydney's club badge and announce a new 10-year lease with the SCG Trust that will keep the newly crowned champions at the venue in the long term.

Sydney FC have revealed a revamped design of their badge while confirming they've signed a new 10-year lease to stay at Allianz Stadium.

It centres on the Sydney Opera House and was designed in consultation with supporters, who have long felt the foundation version designed more than 12 years ago was outdated.

Barlow stressed much of the new design had come directly from fans, as Sydney strive to develop their own clear identity in a city shared with Western Sydney.

"It's a more grown-up version of our previous crest," he said.

"It's a natural evolution, it's about continuing our journey.

"We've had a fantastic 12 years as a club and achieved a lot of success on the field.

"We're growing rapidly, and off the back of our best season - in fact the best season in A-League history - there's no better time than now to take that next step forward."
