Former Melbourne City and Adelaide United Midfielder Jeggo played 90 minutes in the victory which moves Graz into second place on the Austrian Bundesliga ladder.

Their closest rivals is Rheindorf Altach who sit in third only one point behind while fourth placed Austria Wien is also in range of top three finish and automatic qualification for the Europa League.

It was also a big weekend for Scott McDonald who scored a controversial goal and provided an assist in Motherwell's 4-2 Scottish Premier League win against Inverness

The former Celtic and Middlesbrough frontman had his header from point blank range cleared by the Inverness defence, but the referee ruled the ball had crossed the goal line giving McDonald his ninth goal of the season.

McDonald turned provider moments later with his cross from the edge of the penalty area emphatically put away by Allan Campbell to seal the result.

Former Melbourne City, Sydney FC, North Queensland Fury and Brisbane Roar striker David Williams also found himself on the scoresheet overnight playing for Hungarian club Haladas.

Williams flicked the ball over the keeper in the 76th minute to score the first of his side's goals in their 2-0 win against Diosgyori VTK.

The strike was the A-League journeyman's seventh of the season from 19 games. He has also chipped in with four assists.

Defender Adrian Leijer made a surprise cameo on the goal scorers list for his K-League Challenge side Suwon.

The former Melbourne Victory defender helped Suwon clinch a 2-2 draw with Busan I'Park with his header in the closing stages completing the comeback after being 2-0 down early in the match.

Leijer's Suwon teammate and fellow Australian Bruce Djite didn't feature in the match.

An industrious performance from Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak for his club side Aston Villa couldn't help them against Reading as they went down 3-1.

Jedinak was unlucky not to score early on when his shot was saved by Reading 'keeper Ali Al-Habsi.

While Jedinak was one of the key conributors in a 90 minute performance for the Villains, he couldn't help his side from falling to their first defeat in six matches.
In other matches Mattew Leckie was substituted after 50 minutes during his side Ingolstadt's 3-0 loss to wolfsburg, Awer Mabil played 90 minutes for Danish side Esbjerg in their scoreless draw with Horsens and Trent Sainsbury was an unused substitute for Inter Milan during their 2-2 draw in the Milan Derby against AC Milan.
