Berisha started but was replaced in the 83rd minute as Bjorn Sigurdarson's strike and Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty put Iceland in control - Atdhe Nuhiu halved the deficit to set up a nervy finale, but Iceland held on to remain second in Group I.

Croatia maintained their three-point lead at the top of the group thanks to Nikola Kalinic's 38th-minute strike, which gave them a 1-0 victory over Ukraine in Zagreb.

Finally, Cenk Tosun's two goals inside the first quarter-of-an-hour guided Turkey to a 2-0 success over Finland.
