Jones made seven saves for the match, along with a desperate effort in the dying stages, to earn another deserved clean sheet – his fourth of the league campaign.
The win extends Feyenoord’s lead on top of the Eredivisie to five points and leaves fans with plenty of optimism, after six wins from as many starts.
In Norway’s Tippeligaen, Alex Gersbach played a full match as Rosenborg BK inched closer to the league title with a comfortable 2-0 win over IK Start.

Since their opening day defeat to Odds Ballklubb, Rosenborg have not lost a league match in their last 23 outings.

Australia midfielder Tom Rogic scored the opening goal of the match as Celtic drew 2-2 with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League.
In Asia, while Michael Thwaite came on just after half-time, while Dario Vidosic found the back of the net as Liaoning Whowin copped a 6-2 thrashing courtesy of defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande.

Vidosic’s goal is just the second for the club since his arrival from the Western Sydney Wanderers back in July.

The defeat marks Liaoning’s third in their last four league games and leaves them languishing in 11th place with five games remaining in the Chinese Super League season.
Former Melbourne Victory utility Mark Milligan featured for Baniyas as they went down 1-0 to last season’s runners-up, Al Ain, in the first game of the UAE Arabian Gulf League season.

Elsewhere, it took just two minutes for Tahj Minniecon to find the back of the net for Philippines club, Loyola Meralco Sparks.
However, despite Minniecon’s opening efforts, the Sparks had to come from behind to secure a 3-2 win over JP Voltes and reclaim second spot in the United Football League.
