Mexico's Puebla announced via Twitter that United States striker Eddie Johnson is joining the club.
Puebla President Roberto Henaine used his official Twitter page, to say Johnson would travel to join his new team-mates on Monday.
The 27-year-old former FC Dallas and Kansas City Wizards player had been out of contract since leaving Premier League team Fulham at the end of last season.
Johnson joins fellow US international DaMarcus Beasley at Puebla. Beasley tweeted that "we wanna welcome my boy Eddie Johnson to Puebla!"
While at Fulham, Johnson had loan spells with Cardiff City and Preston North End in the English lower leagues, and with Greek side Aris.
