US coach Jurgen Klinsmann has a base salary of US$2.5 million (A$2.47 million), a significant increase from what former coach Bob Bradley made.
The base salary for Klinsmann's three-year contract, which runs to August 2014, is included in the US Soccer Federation's audited financial statements. The statements do not provide details on bonuses or other income, nor do they list Bradley's salary when he was fired July 28.
According to the US Soccer Federation's 2010 tax return, Bradley earned US$818,244 (A$807,544) for the year ending March 31, 2010, including US$449,025 (A$443,153) in base compensation and US$345,000 (A$340,488) in bonuses.
Klinsmann's salary was first reported by The Washington Post.
