New York Red Bulls has signed Brazilian defender Digao, the younger brother of Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.
The Major League Soccer team announced the signing of the much-travelled Digao on Friday.
General manager Erik Soler said the 26-year-old had a trial with the club this week and will be added to the squad after his visa and international transfer papers are in hand.
Digao most recently played for Portuguese side FC Penafiel, appearing in 10 matches in 2010-2011.
Prior to that he played for Rimini and AC Milan in Italy, Standard Liege in Belgium and Lecce and Crotone, also in Italy.
