Chicago sees off Toronto

13 September 2012-PA Sport

Chicago Fire moved up to second place in the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference after a 2-1 win at rock-bottom Toronto FC.

Frank Klopas' side is now just three points behind leader Sporting Kansas City in the standings as first-half strikes from Alvaro Fernandez (13) and Chris Rolfe (42) set it on its way to victory.

Eric Hassli pulled one back for Toronto in the 79th minute but the host could not find a leveller and it remains five points adrift of second-bottom Philadelphia Union.
