Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is pleased to have netted his first Champions League hat-trick for his club but insists its latest victory over Ajax is the most important thing to come out of the clash.

"I'm very happy because we won and we played very well. This result is important to build confidence ahead of the next game that we have," said Ronaldo, whose side takes on arch rivals Barcelona at the Nou Camp this weekend.
"Scoring three goals is crucial for me and gives me confidence. It's important for me to score three goals, but the most important thing is always the victory of the team. I repeat that I'm very happy with the way things have gone in this match," he added.
