Charlton swoops for Fuller

22 August 2012-PA Sport

Charlton Athletic has signed former Stoke City and Southampton striker Ricardo Fuller on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old, who was released by Stoke last month, has agreed a one-year deal at The Valley with the option of a further 12 months.

Fuller was introduced to Charlton's fans at half-time of the Championship clash with Leicester City.

The Jamaican is no stranger to south-east London, having played three games for the Addicks' reserves before signing for neighbour Crystal Palace in 2001.

Fuller, Charlton's fifth northern summer signing, has also played for Heart of Midlothian, Preston North End, Portsmouth and Ipswich Town.
