Nancy coach Jean Fernandez has extended his contract with the Ligue 1 side for two years until June 2015 with the club also announcing the signing of Nigerian striker Simon Zenke.
Fernandez, 57, who previously coached Sochaux, Metz, Marseille and Auxerre, is currently the most experienced coach in Ligue 1 having notched up 567 matches under his direction.
Zenke, 23, learned his trade at Strasbourg and has played for the past two seasons with Turkish first division side Samsunspor.
He becomes the club's ninth recruit for the new season after defender Vincent Muratori and midfielders Abdou Rahman Dampha, Romain Grange, Thomas Ayasse, Salif Sane, Yohan Mollo, Thomas Mangani and Jeff Louis.
Meanwhile, central defender Sebastien Puygrenier and midfielder Lossemy Karaboue have also extended their contracts with the north-eastern side by three and one year respectively.
Nancy finished 11th in the French league last season.
