Tottenham has finalised the signing of Jan Vertonghen from Ajax after the centre-half passed his medical.
The 25-year-old, who captained the Amsterdam club, agreed terms with Spurs at the weekend and has now completed the formalities.
Tottenham confirmed the news on its official Twitter feed, writing: "We are delighted to announce that @Jan_Vertonghen has completed his transfer from Ajax after passing his medical."
