Midfielder Geoffrey Dernis has agreed to leave French champion Montpellier to join top-flight rival Brest on a two-year deal, the Brittany-based side says.
Dernis, 31, spent three years with Montpellier and helped it win the title for the first time last season, although a knee injury restricted his involvement in the run-in.
He has played over 200 games in Ligue 1 having also turned out for Lille and St Etienne.
Brest - which has a new coach in the shape of Landry Chauvin - has also signed former France fullback Bernard Mendy on a two-year deal.
Mendy's previous clubs include Paris Saint-Germain and Hull City.
